Having recently left Sports Illustrated, I am off to a new venture, publishing "Off Base with Howard Cole" independently at Substack.Among my credits are over 1000 articles published at the SI, Forbes, Orange County Register, LA Weekly, Rolling Stone, Los Angeles Times, Guardian, Prevention, Westways, Jewish Journal, San Jose Mercury-News, Voice of San Diego and Bakersfield Californian.
