I'm a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a unique background in this discipline, with over thirty-five years of diverse experience; having worked worldwide on almost all types of drilling rigs with international drilling contractors and operators; as VP Drilling Systems with a world-renown naval architects and marine engineering firm; then as a deep-water drilling supervisor for a large independent oil & gas explorer and producer. Thereafter, as an SME in rig systems and equipment, rig construction, commissioning, integration & final acceptance testing, for large independents and majors. I continue to serve the industry as an independent consultant in various roles, providing value-add solutions to the complex problems and challenges encountered by both drilling contractors and operators; in real-time and preventatively. I also have an extensive contact base, and considerable experience as a testifying expert witness in this field.
