My role within this successful business is to identify and develop new markets including architectural and amenity, industrial and commercial, sports lighting under the diversification strategy; maintain our core business and develop new opportunities from our exisitng customers ensuring we provide the right solution to meet our customers needs.

My key role was to promote Philips Lighting and their products via the wholesale route to market. This including sourcing new project opportunities from contractors, M&E's Architects and Specifiers. Building new relationships and working closely with our preferred partners on projects was key to this position.

We had trials with Strathclyde Police, BAA, Network Rail, EDF Energy and Cross Link, London Underground, South East Water Board and the MOD. We also investigated the cyclists markets and had trials with a number of cyclists via specialist stores, We had some success but the market could not sustain the cost of our product compared to the standard hi-visibility products already established and cheap imports from China.
