Recently retired from active professional activities.After pre-sea training at Hull Trinity House I started my sea service as a deck cadet in 1965. I obtained my Masters Certificate UL in 1975 whilst serving as a deck officer in general cargo / reefers / bulkcarriers and container vessels before taking command in 1977. I am an experienced IRCA Registered Lead Auiditor Maritime, IRCA Registered QMS Auditor. I hold a Certificate of Education, (LLLS) from University of Hull. I hold an MSc awarded by Southampton Solent University. My objective is to serve the maritime industry and make a sound contribution to Quality, Safety, the Environment and Security in our industry and promote the education and training of seafarers.Earlier in my career I served as a deck officer with Blue Star Line and Salen Ship Management, serving in reefers, bulkers,general cargo vessels and container ships. Served as Master in reefers and general cargo vessels. Have undergone specialist tanker training. I have ro-ro / container terminal experience as superintendent.
