Lead project structural engineer responsible for review of design calculations and construction documents at preliminary and final design stages; design of more advanced structures; supervision of technicians and lower level engineers; and tracking budgets and manpower. Primary responsibilities include production of client deliverables and ensuring compliance with client and corporate QA/AC procedures. Duties also include responding to client and contractor questions, assessing solutions for construction changes, quality assurance/quality control of design packages and preparation of statements of interest/proposals. Design Capabilities Structures: Highway and railroad structures including CIP retaining walls, secant pile walls, tangent pile walls, steel plate girder, steel wide flange, curved plate girder, curved steel wide flange, precast I-beams and box beams, continuous concrete slab, cast-in-place post-tensioned box girder, truss analysis/design, gusset plate analysis, bridge rehabilitation, bridge widening, and seismic response spectral analysis. Extensive design experience with AASHTO LRFD design criteria, AASHTO Seismic Category A, B and C, AASHTO LRFD Seismic Performance Zones 1, 2, 3 and 4, AASHTO Guide Specifications for LRFD Seismic Design using displacement based design procedures for Category D and AREMA Seismic Zones 1, 2 and 3.
