Helped run the day-to-day operation of this well-established lock shop in the Beach area. Worked with Medeco, Assa and Abloy high security products. Performed bench work for customers and outside service technicians. Sold and ordered products, responsible for opening and closing retail outlet. Managed the shop, performed administrative duties and handled cash.Furnished a new research tool for key codes to increase client satisfaction. Recommended switching suppliers of a popular product line to increase profits and cement a key business relationship. Used teamwork to secure a major order with a large national security company. Provided a contact for outside automotive work to help strengthen business relationships.

Assisted in the teaching of locksmithing courses at this registered vocational school. The Academy of Locksmithing is the leading provider of hands-on locksmith training in North America. Donated materials for students, helped teachers with bench work so they could focus on instruction. Gave one-on-one assistance to students who were having difficulty.

Ran the lock shop for this, the oldest lock company in Toronto. Worked in a busy head office environment for this large diversified security company. Created hand-filed keys for antique locks and worked with computerized key-stamping equipment.

Elected President of TAOL November 2011 and successfully completed one term of office. Worked with a motivated team of board members to improve TAOL and the benefits members receive. Worked with various committees and addressed member inquiries. Directed TAOL's response to various situations from ethical complaints against members to mechanical issues in the building such as a failed air conditioner. Introduced criminal record background checks for the first time in TAOL's history. Hosted delegates from ASBRAC, a South American locksmith association at our annual convention. Coordinated with the Peel Opportunity Team to provide students in The Sheltered Youth Program the chance to work with their hands under the supervision of Academy President Dave Huntley.

Worked in 18 locations, mainly in the down town core. Responded to various crisis situations including fires, medical emergencies, thefts and assaults. Reported fire hazards, security breaches and maintenance problems such as obstructed safety equipment, insecure areas and water leaks. Controlled and cut keys, performed regular key audits, monitored physical and computerized access control. Conducted video surveillance, programmed and deleted pass cards. Trained and supervised a staff of 26 in a 700,000 square foot office environment, cross-training them to maximize security team's efficiency.

Skip tracing, surveillance, subject interviews, process serving, research and report writing, This family- run business was mainly engaged in investigating insurance fraud. Worked with a team of experienced investigators preparing reports for clients. Learned innovative investigative techniques such as the use of hidden cameras to expose fraud.
