At AT&T Laboratories, Wireless Network Architecture Division, I engage in research related to consumer protection services as well as 5G Wireless Technology. Our launch of AT&T Call Protect was the industry's first network based robo-call and spam call protection service to defend wireless users from many billions of unwanted calls. Additional levels of protection from unwanted calls, new consumer protection services, crypto technologies, as well as mobile security are topics of investigation. I hold 22 patents granted in telecommunications technology, with additional patents pending.Previous projects included creation of Wireless Home Phone enhanced features, and defining how to manage Quality of Service within the mobility network. Before joining the Wireless Architecture area, I engaged in research within the AT&T New Technologies Division, defining the Enterprise Architecture for Voice over IP systems. Additionally, I focus on Network Management Systems that are responsible for measuring the quality of Voice over IP calls.During my first 13 years at AT&T, I worked in AT&T Submarine Systems developing advanced hardware & software for 4 generations of Undersea Lightwave Cable Systems that span the globe.
