- Designed and conducted experiments on low NOx Hydrogen gas turbine combustion strategies in an elevated pressure (project is funded by DOE and partnered with Parker & Hannifin, Inc. and Solar Turbine, Inc.)- Designed and conducted experiments on a single jet miniature Rich-burn, Quick-mix, Lean-burn combustor at an atmospheric pressure to determine jet reaction characteristics and its NOx emission behavior- Developed an optical diagnostics tool to determine local equivalence ratio of a reaction using Cassegrain Optics- Conducted CFD modeling of a single jet in crossflow using ANSYS FLUENT to learn the deformation of jet cross-section (RANS and LES) - Fabricated and built experiment hardware including igniter and water-cooled sampling probe - Gathered and analyzed emission data according to industry standards

- Operated and applied PIV system to exiting injector design to characterize its fluid dynamics- Captured high speed video of combustion instability and distinguish the periodic reaction structure using MATLAB code- Improved an existing MATLAB code to examine different features in reaction structure

- Designed and set up an experiment involving a Diesel engine to minimize air pollutants from exhaust (The project is sponsored by Cleaire Advanced Emission Controls, LLC)- Machined and fabricated numerous parts for experiments including assembly

- Led an individual project to write a report on mechanical manufacturing process of Set Top Box- Communicated and met with product managers and engineers from outside vendors (including vendors like LG, Humax, Thomson, Philips)
