It was ultimately acquired by Collagen, had its IPO and was subsequently sold to Boston Scientific in 1997 for $1.2 billion. In addition, I was instrumental in executing two spin-offs from Target Therapeutics; Conceptus (sold to Bayer) and Prograft (to W.L. Gore). I was CEO of Collagen when Celtrix Pharmaceuticals was formed, spun off and ultimately acquired by Insmed. Also, I was instrumental in forming Cohesion Technologies which was spun off and ultimately acquired by Angiotech. I played a significant role in executing Collagen’s very profitable investment in Pharming, N.V..
