As a Team Leader, my responsibilities included all duties of managing the store at the same level as the Store Manager. These included all aspects of cash and stock management, as well as managing my colleagues and structuring each shift to hit Key Performance Indicators and deliver excellent customer service. This helped to develop my own organisational and team-working skills in overcoming any obstacles. For example, I was responsible for adjusting the store layout to be compliant with health and safety restrictions during the Covid 19 pandemic. I also developed my fellow colleagues through the Co-operative Boost training program, helping them reach greater potential and developing my own leadership skills. My time as a team leader taught me how to effectively communicate and act in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of customer service.
