About Howard Blas

For 30+ years I have been working in the field of Jewish education for children and young adults with disabilities.As an expert on disabilities I focus on the following areas: 1. Disabilities education: I tutor children with a range of disabilities in Jewish Studies for bar/ bat mitzvah, and 2. Camp programs for people with disabilities: I direct summer camp and vocational training programs across the country for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and consult to such programs3. Vocational training: I am expert on vocational training for adults with disabilities, and am traveling the world to visit specialized disabilities jobs sites.4. Inclusive travel: I lead disabilities trips to Israel, climbed Mount Kilimanjaro with four participants with paraplegia and am actively involved in Access Israel.5. Building inclusive communities: I advise community leaders on how to build inclusive communities, and I speak frequently at schools, camps, synagogues, and on college campuses on the myriad benefits of an inclusive environment.6.
