Howard has worked on an extensive range of development projects including senior living communities, from full service licensed rental communities (independent and assisted living), to continuing care retirement communities, apartment communities, including age-restricted apartment communities, shopping centers, medical office buildings, and office parks in North Carolina, throughout the Southeast and on the West Coast. Howard has extensive experience representing banks in real estate finance transactions including acquisition loans, construction and real estate development lending, and loan workouts and foreclosures. Howard handles all aspects of structuring, negotiating, documenting, and closing loans and other real estate secured transactions. He has represented banks and lenders in transactions involving residential, office, and retail developments, apartment communities, industrial projects, golf courses and hotels.
