Greenspoon Marder is a leading law firm in the Cannabis space, helping startups, entrepreneurs and investors navigate this rapidly evolving industry. I lead business development and marketing efforts for the Cannabis team, focusing on the unique needs and issues of the various geographies where marijuana is legal for medical and/or recreational use. With a cross-functional approach of marketing strategies, BD tactics and grass root campaigns, I am excited to be part of a progressive firm with a pioneering team of cannabis attorneys across the nation.

-- Help to attract new and retain current clients for the firm's Business Law division, which includes teams for Cannabis, Healthcare, Real Estate, Energy, Corporate, Tax & Employee Benefits and Wealth Strategies-- Create forward-thinking strategies to position the firm and its attorneys in relevant markets and industries-- Develop custom content for pitches, presentations and RFPs-- Implement unique processes and function seamlessly with a cross-functional business development and marketing team, as well as with attorneys from a wide variety of practice area and industry focuses-- Manage the sales process including research, strategy, qualification, pitch, and follow-up

-- Lead marketing efforts for the Environment, Energy & Natural Resources practice group and several offices across the US; largely focused on the oil & gas industry-- Develop, implement, and manage the marketing strategy for these groups and offices including content for materials, communications, branding, advertising, budgeting and client events-- Track oil & gas and natural resource industry trends; align marketing initiatives accordingly-- Provide hands-on support and follow-through on all initiatives-- Ensure the firm’s human capital and monetary resources are considered and invested wisely

-- Responsible for identifying and engaging leading technology, medical device and biomedical companies and advisers with OCTANe – an accelerator focused on company creation-- Involved with starting company in 2005-- Knowledge of 800+ R&D-driven companies in Orange County and Southern California; strong relationships with many C-level individuals from start-ups, emerging growth companies, large corporations, service providers, and high net worth individuals in the region-- Lead, develop and implement OCTANe’s marketing strategy, including print publications, web strategy, partnerships and alliances, communications and advertising; project managed company’s rebranding initiative in 2010-- Manage all website content and development, oversee social media efforts and develop messaging for LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter-- Oversee strategic communications and serve as editor of “Fuel for Your Week” sent to 25,000+ people – a weekly communication -- Lead PR strategy and manage relationship with PR firm Fleishman-Hillard-- Produce the Medical Device & Investor Forum, a national conference drawing 800+-- Helped to create and establish the “OCTANe Foundation for Innovation” a 501 (c)3 charity, including infrastructure, legal structure, marketing, grant/proposal writing, fundraising-- Member and Treasurer of the OCTANe and OCTANe Foundation for Innovation Boards of Directors
