Minority Male Initiative - An evaluation of the OSSE-funded 2013-2014 Men of Color Initiative (MOCI) at the University of the District of Columbia Community College (UDC-CC) was conducted to analyze whether learning leadership skills could improve student’s academic outcomes, primarily for minority men of Black and Latino descent. Forty students were targeted to begin the program in fall 2013, 25 enrolled initially, and 8 completed the First Year Seminar course in May 2014.
