About Howard Jansen
My life is an interesting tale. My dad got injured at work, and required surgery. After three days, a blood clot moved from the surgically repaired Achilles tendon to his lung. He died from a pulmonary embolism on October 31, 1992. I was a couple months shy of my 15th birthday. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer on July 20, 1999. Interestingly, I was in court on the same day for a stupid act of youth. I have worked several jobs...mostly in retail sales. On June 1, 2004, I started working for a printing company as a flexographic print technician. I got burned out from the long hours and stressful environment, and was let go on July 29, 2013. I floundered a bit looking for jobs. I tried driving a school bus in September of 2013. I didn't last long as I couldn't handle the kids. Driving was no problem, but I'm too shy and quiet to control the kids. I quit doing that at the end of October 2013. I saw an opening for an assembler at an electronic manufacturing facility in my hometown. I jumped at it, as electronics was my true passion. My first day was November 11, 2013, and I have loved nearly every day I have been here. Sure, there are some days that are worse than others, but it has been a blessing to be here overall. After 9 years of electronics repair, I was ready for a change. On December 5, 2022, I made a big leap into the world of biomedical equipment service.
