Howard Steven Brown is the founder and president of Brown Holdings International, a privately held company that is focused on social infrastructure and economic development. He is nationally recognized in the fields of American and international banking, economic development finance and participates in initiatives related to narrowing the achievement gap and reducing the drop-out rate for African American males. He has worked on one of the most profitable trading desk in the history of Wall Street at Goldman Sachs, where he was a critical member of the firm’s proprietary trading business. Howard Brown’s business interest attempts to contribute to society through positive business practices, with a focus on the environment, communities and people.He received his Bachelors Degree at the Fox School of Business and Management at Temple University where he was the “Corporate Relations Award” winner (2004), and in 2014 was selected to study Social Entrepreneurship at the Wharton School of the University Pennsylvania. Mr. Brown is actively involved in the community, serving as a board member on several not-for-profit and leadership boards, including: The Presidential Foundation, American Red Cross of Southeastern Pennsylvania, as well as the Black Men at Penn School of Social Work, Inc.Howard has been the keynote or featured speaker at notable conferences including the National Minority Business Development Week, Fox School of Business Awards Banquet, Knowledge@Wharton High School and the United Nations.
