Training Manager
CurrentResponsible for developing and managing a series of Cybersecurity training courses offered through a Continuous Training Grant from FEMA and the Department of Homeland Security, as part of the National Cybersecurity Preparedness Consortium. Oversee training schedules, course curriculum and course certifications, and serves as main point of contact for TEEX Cybersecurity division inquiries. Coordinates cybersecurity compliance reviews, vulnerability testing, cyber gap analyses, cyber tabletop exercises, customized training developments, and penetration assessments. Manages and recruits a team of instructors, monitors performance and assigns development projects. Essential functions include:Program Management • Manages and oversee training deliveries and assigned projects for the Cyber Defense and Compliance program.• Coordinates schedules and deliveries and ensure instructors are properly equipped for classes.• Conducts Vulnerability Assessments and Penetration Testing to identify any vulnerabilities in the client’s system.• Reviews and develops Cyber-Security Response and Recovery Plans for clients.• Prepares and updates course and technical assistance schedules.• Develops, updates, refines project budgets, develops draft proposals, and contracts under general supervision of the Program Director.• Periodically monitors cyber instructors, course deliveries, and technical assistance activities for quality assurance purposes.• Provides technical expertise to clients in cyber-security and information technology.• Designs and delivers cyber security related exercises to include: Tabletops and functional exercises.• Markets Agency and Division programs and events to potential customers and students.• Prepares an annual training calendar that includes instructor assignment.• Ensures technical assistance projects are completed on time and within budget.
