Chartered and led the NPD steering team, a cross-functional team of directors, responsible for resolving project problems, optimizing resources and fostering an NPD culture with a focus on speed to market of procedural solutions that delight the customer. Participated in the Knee and Shoulder Portfolio Steering Teams.•Re-established a robust pipeline by launching 32 programs between 2005-2009 - a mix of incremental and substantial projects. Products launched in the last 3 years contributed 51% ($92M) of total domestics sales. oCommercialized first biocomposite resorbable shoulder implant. oDeveloped first partially absorbable, high-strength suture with improved handling characteristics for the surgeon, and lower mass to improve patient comfort. oCompleted pilot clinical for novel autologous knee cartilage implantation system. Reduced patient morbidity by eliminating the need for multiple procedures. •Organized an annual NPD alignment and strategy meeting (5 consecutive years) that brought NPD together as a cohesive 80 person cross-functional team with goals of team building, celebration of accomplishments, and alignment on the upcoming year’s strategic goals. •Sponsored the DePuy wide franchise - Spine, Mitek, Codman and Orthopedics - R&D initiative to drive growth by enhancing innovation and increasing predictability of launches.
