Announced Sweets West Coast League games; prepared daily game preparation including player stats and back stories for both the Sweets and their opponents, wrote in-game commercial and promo copy, produced and voiced sponsor commercials. My two main goals in doing the radio play-by-play was to deliver the game in an entertaining fashion, and to generate enough interest in the next game for listeners to attend it. I also served as the team's liaison to the local media and outreach to the community for charity and co-branding functions.

Co-hosted with Stephanie Miller on the personality-intensive "Howard and Stephanie Morning Show." We had some amazing support from J. Paul Emerson and Lisa G in the news segments; producers Tony Fiore, Wayne Mayo, Dr. Daniel "Odie Johnson" Ivankovich, George Williams and many others over the course of our four year run. Production wizards Rick Allen and Bill Schultz made it sizzle with remarkable imaging techniques. This was both one of my most challenging and most gratifying times. Challenging in that the competition was so fierce, and gratifying because I learned the importance of "finding parades and jumping in front of them." It demanded a lot of proactive marketing which ruled nothing out. I did all-nighters at clubs, full weekends at listener-centric venues, copious contact with other media and inventing original promotions and prizes centered around the show, its characters and New York itself. This was perhaps the most rounded radio experience anyone could hope for, and for nearly four years, it worked. It ended when the station changed its focus to pure hip-hop, but I never forgot how to think on my feet and face whatever challenge came my way.
