An Entrepreneur, Inventor, Advisor and Attorney, Howie Busch is the Founder & Dude-in-Chief of DudeRobe, where he created a cooler bathrobe and loungewear for men…and appeared on Season 9 of ABC’s Shark Tank. When he came up with his “crazy” idea for a cooler bathrobe for guys, he launched a Kickstarter campaign to test the market. One week later, Shark Tank approached him. And less than three months later, with no product even in the country yet, he was pitching to the Sharks. Many NBA teams are ordering for their players and coaches because it’s simply a better locker room alternative. Teams include the New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets and Utah Jazz. Notable players with DudeRobes include NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks, number one draft pick Zion Williamson and perennial All-Star Kyrie Irving. And now his crazy idea for a cooler bathrobe suddenly doesn’t seem so crazy. Prior to launching Dude Apparel Brand, Busch developed innovative products and licensed them to industry leaders. Highlights in include: • Licensing his travel pillow to leading travel brand Cloudz, which can be found in Hudson News in airports around the world. • His other products have been sold in retailers like Walmart, Bed Bath & Beyond, TJ Maxx and professional team stores, to name a few. • Serving on the Board of Advisors of Edison Nation, a leading inventor community. • Speaking at the US Patent & Trademark Office multiple times, giving the keynote speech in 2018 at Invention Con. • Speaking at major universities and inventor groups, educating and motivating inventors to get their products to market. Prior to becoming a product developer, Busch was a sports agent and attorney.
