I am a graduate of the combined Physics and Oceanography program from the University of Victoria. I have been working as an environmental consultant with over eight years of experience centered on the permitting, compliance monitoring and design of municipal and industrial effluent discharges (outfalls). I have experience in the complete life cycle of a consulting project including: scoping, cost estimating, project management and project execution. I’m experienced in the completion of oceanographic and limnological field studies, dilution modeling, environmental impact studies and regulatory applications. I’ve completed numerous baseline and compliance monitoring programs involving the collection of water and sediment samples for analysis and comparison to applicable guidelines. I have also completed visual inspections of outfall pipelines and nearby habitat by SCUBA or remotely operated vehicles. Specialized skills include; certification as a Worksafe BC unrestricted SCUBA diver and extensive experience with approved dilution modeling packages (CORMIX and Visual Plumes).
