As a fourth-generation Licensed Customs Broker, I thrive in my opportunity to lead a team focused on the 24/7 facilitation of international trade. My opportunity to drive our family business forward is deeply rooted in the tradition of hard work and respect of my father, grandfather, great grandfather and each of their equally hardworking and dedicated spouses. My greatest opportunity to advance our craft comes in the form of process improvement, software solutions, and the practical application of modern management and leadership concepts.When reviewed in 2000, employees of our family business had an average tenure of 14 years. As times have changed and career changes are more frequent, our appreciation of our staff continues to this day. My primary role is to equip, encourage, and support our staff so they can serve our valued customers while maintaining the work/life balance they desire.Finally, on a personal note, my drive to advance my family’s craft is largely shaped by the support of my parents, the ongoing encouragement of my wife, and my short battle with cancer in 2004.
