I am a graduate student at VCU, working on my MS of computer science, with a focus on cybersecurity. I have acquired the CompTIA A+ and Security+ certifications, demonstrating my knowledge and skills in hardware configuration, threat detection, and network security. I have also developed an application to assist in managing cybersecurity related issues for individual municipalities, utilizing my background in software development, network administration, and team skills. My goal is to pursue a career in cybersecurity, where I can apply my passion, expertise, and experience to protect and enhance the digital infrastructure of organizations and communities.As an Information Security Intern at Virginia Commonwealth University, I contribute to the security operations of the student and staff network, using specialized Qradar SIEM software to monitor, scan, and remove hazardous malware and viruses from hardware on a multi-platform environment. I also assist the full-time security staff in other operational needs, such as vulnerability management, IT risk management, and training efforts.
