Throughout school, I felt like I was just going through the motions a lot of times. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do when I got to college until I did some research myself and realized the magnitude of the health epidemic in our nation. With our ever expanding technology, it makes sense that our obesity and disease rates are rising as well. After experiencing a relationship with someone who endured tragedy, I was personally moved by how devastating an unhealthy lifestyle can be to your body. This has led to my driving passion to improve our nation's health. Individually, we cannot save the world, but as health professionals, we can combine our efforts collectively and impact the lives of our world. Currently, I am a graduating senior at the University of Texas in Austin, majoring in Health Promotion and Fitness. I am currently interning with Healthways at Dell and will be graduating in the summer of 2009. My experience in corporate health promotion has been nothing short of amazing. This is a field I would love to be in and will continue to strive to find a profession related to this. Due to the fact that I also love the gym setting and have personal training experience, I am very open to anything health and wellness related and look forward to meeting new people and continually learning about what it takes to be the most effective health professional I strive to be.Specialties: Microsoft Office applications, coordinating and designing programs, carrying out tasks by deadlines and with efficiency
