SEPA successfully bid for funding from the European Commission (EC) to support the development of the Scotland’s Environment Web (SEWeb) project. http://www.environment.scotland.gov.uk/ As Projet Manager, I ensure that the subprojects are managed to budget, time and quality; that they deliver the benefits anticipated in the business case and in the overall SEWeb project objectives.- Resource and budget planning providing regular progress reports to Project Boards. Budget management and reporting.- Develop plan and monitor progress, resolving issues and initiating corrective action as appropriate. Initiate extra activities where gaps in the project are identified. Ensuring the management of project controls (risk, issue and dependencies)- Ensure new objectives, products or services from the project are of the appropriate level of quality, on time and within budget in accordance with the Project Plan- Communication with stakeholders both internal and external (e.g. European Institutions, Scottish Government, SEPA, Marine Scotland, Historic Scotland, Scottish Natural Heritage, and Forestry Commission Scotland, etc.)SEWeb current work includes:- Extend the partnership to local authorities, other agencies, academia and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO’s).- Identify and fill gaps in environmental data through data analysis and provision of integrated data from contributing partners- Developing a prioritisation process to address environmental issues and assess effectiveness of measures- Implement public engagement actions and develop public monitoring and initiatives
