CurrentLeading and managing Ads Monetization, the most concentrated Data & Applied Sciences organization at Microsoft Advertising. The organization is responsible for Advertiser Optimization (aka Auto-Bidding & Budget Pacing/Smoothing), Market Design (aka Auction or Mechanism Design) and Marketplace Optimization (i.e. KPI trade-offs) for all marketplaces served by Microsoft Advertising (including Search, Shopping, Display, Video, Audience and beyond)The Advertiser Optimization function focuses on providing automated bidding algorithms for our advertisers. The teams optimize individual advertisers' ad performance across products and markets served by Bing Ads (including Search, Native, Audience Network, etc.), given their individualized optimization objective and constraints. The team builds everything from scratch: platform, infrastructure, optimization algorithms, experimentation frameworks, modeling, and other support functions such as metrics, monitoring, analytics, etc. The revenue under our influence is more than 99%.The Market Design and Optimization team focuses on increasing and sustaining the marketplace's efficiency in the long term, which continuously drives substantial overall revenue gain. The team experiments, designs, and implements ways to allocate and price ads optimally (colloquially known as the auction). We also build tools and scale the operation that tunes the KPIs of all of our markets and experiments to ensure that the marketplace is always at the most optimal operating point.
