It's true that life has a way of laughing at your plans and the next thing you know you are in a path you never dreamed you would be on. That is what happened to me.When the Covid pandemic hit in 2020 I was laid off like many others. While unemployed I came to the realization I wanted a career I was passionate about instead of just a participant. I wanted to make a difference and be in a career that gives me opportunities to advocate for those without a voice and provide opportunities that can be a difference maker in the lives of others. I knew that a career in Human Resources would give me those opportunities and it was now or never if I was going to make that happen. So I enrolled in University of Houston and began my journey to make my career goals come true!My long term goal is to create successful recruiting and training programs that support company culture and increase human capital at the organization, with long term career goals to create benchmark training programs that successfully supports Neurodiversity and fosters company cultures that encourages, accommodates, and champions equitable workplaces for all that can lead into cultural shifts that effect social change.
