As an entrepreneur I focus on what gives me energy. In my management and real estate company CATE, I combine a rather broad scope of interests. Today, I guide young entrepreneurs and am a smalltime investor in their companies. Being a sounding board is fullfilling, because I can help them to avoid making common mistakes, just by sharing my own experience. I also let my creative mind develop real estate projects and interiors, in Belgium as well as in Spain. I even help people who dream of big Asian art, to deliver wooden magic at their doorstep. And last yet not least, I have a soft spot for innovative educational projects. The abbreviation “CATE” stands for my values C=Creativity A=Authenticity T=Transparency and E=Enthusiasm. In 10 years we grew to an international market leader. In its niche we had an average of 140 consultants working for us and 11mio revenue (2018, the year I sold it to House of Talents). We were not an average Interim Management agency: our culture was one of working hard and play hard. And we operated from a very cool office boat in Ghent. And above all, I had an amazing #dreamteam… still proud of everyone of them!I started as an independent at the age of 33.
