Research Facilitator And Executive Assistant
Research facilitator and executive assistant to the head of a busy research team. I look after a team of approximately 40 people. My role is to facilitate all aspects of academic and clinical research. Main responsibilities include: pre- and post-award grant management; budget planning, reporting and management, office management, HR management (recruitment, contract extensions), meeting and event planning, general EA support (diary management, travel arrangements, minute taking etc.). Balancing and prioritising these responsibilities to meet deadlines is completely autonomous. I have to be mindful of the different departments involved in task completion and advise on realistic lead times. Our investigators are often involved in multi-centre studies; I am required to communicate with our external collaborators and balance this with my team's needs when facilitating research activities. Assistant to the Master Distiller. Assisting with distillation runs (botanical and wash preparation, tails cut off and resting & storage). Bottling (cutting gin to bottling strength, preparation and filling of bottles, start up and shutdown of semi-automatic bottling line).
