Collaborated on a multi-year partnership between McMaster and CUBIC Transportation to develop tools with the aim of reducing the economic and environmental impacts of congestion.Worked with a team developing a traffic queue length prediction machine learning algorithm that uses real-time intersection camera data to estimate future queues and dynamically adjust traffic signal timing to minimize vehicle congestion over the network. Created algorithms using Python and MATLAB to process and statistically analyze traffic data and extract signal timing information.
