My internship was focused on what happens daily in a probation office. I would often help Probation Officers (PO) with entering information and retrieving information from MassCourts. I would check people in at the front counter, do filing, bring files back and forth to court, and any other tasks that I could help the POs with. I was able to sit in court.

Pre-Release

Much of my internship was focused on Community Accountability Board (CAB). I facilitates CAB meetings, interviewed residents for CAB, and prepared folders for each participant, including writing short case summaries. In addition to CAB, I was able to shadow counsellors and attended trainings on domestic violence, substance abuse, motivational interviewing.
