-Managed a $52,250 11-month contract through Georgia’s Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities to provide Mental Health First Aid and Youth Mental Health First Aid trainings to Regional Education Service Agencies, health centers, universities and suicide prevention coalitions -Scheduled and coordinated 20 trainings throughout the 159 Georgia counties for school social workers, teachers, juvenile court judges and other juvenile justice system staff, graduate level students, and community leaders to learn about common mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, psychosis, and substance use and teach them how to communicate with and help people who may be experiencing a mental health crisis -Compiled 5 years of evaluation data using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Publisher, and MapQuest mapping tools to create reports on the effectiveness of the program to secure a new $25,000 training contract -Wrote grant applications to private foundations to help support our Kids on the Block (KOTB) program-Research the availability of housing supports for people with mental illness and disabilities in the state of Georgia, and write a state profile to be submitted to Mental Health America

As an AmeriCorps VISTA, I assisted the work of Spark NH in promoting the importance of early childhood. Spark NH, the governor-appointed Early Childhood Advisory Council, works to build a coordinated and comprehensive early childhood system of health, education and family supports for young children and their families.

-Prepared up to 2-3 patients at a time to see the physical therapists-Entered billing information into the clinic database in order to help keep track of charges and fees associated with Medicare and private insurance companies-Politely answered phone calls in a fast paced environment to ensure quality customer service

-Assisted health educators in teaching healthy eating behaviors to 6th and 7th grade girls-Helped supervisors to collect post-intervention follow up data while abiding by strict protocols-Gathered research articles and other information that is used by the program coordinators-Used data to create analyses in SPSS that described relationships between different variables

-Provided medical treatment to student athletes to help speed up their recovery time-Assisted athletic trainers at varsity sporting events to maintain the safety of all athletes and spectators

-Worked with 16 paraprofessional and 2 professional staff members to oversee a building of 500 resident students-Planned informative monthly programs for students to attend -Completed paperwork correctly and quickly while paying close attention to detail-Enforced Residential Life policies to ensure that the health and safety of residents is maintained -Acted as a liaison between residents and professional staff members to help maintain an open line of communication
