With over five years of work experience, I am a passionate and driven researcher and innovator in the field of molecular engineering. I am currently pursuing my PhD at the University of Chicago, where I focus on developing sustainable nanocomposite materials for water purification. I am also an Innovation Fund Associate at the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, where I support the George Shultz Innovation Fund in its investment cycles. I am motivated by the mission of the Polsky Center to foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, and I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team.As an Innovation Fund Associate, I work with an interdisciplinary group of 24 students and postdocs to aid the fund in screening, conducting due diligence, and presenting recommendations for potential investments in early-stage ventures from the University of Chicago community. I leverage my skills to analyze market opportunities, competitive landscapes, financial projections, and technical feasibility of the ventures. I also collaborate with faculty, alumni, and industry experts to provide feedback and guidance to the entrepreneurs. Through this experience, I have gained valuable insights into the innovation ecosystem and the venture capital process.
