HS Pharma focuses on non-toxic, ultra-low-adverse effect molecules with targeted anti-cancer activity. We draw on known Absorption, Distribution & Metabolism profiles of small molecules for which we have new insights into anti-cancer activity. Hence we have moved from the traditional model that identifies highly toxic anti-cancer agents and then understands their maximum tolerated dose, to one that finds well metabolized, ultra safe molecules that can be administered without effect at very high dose whilst targeting cancers and cancerous cells. The company has a particular interest in the unmet need of treatment of disseminating and metastatic cancers but evidence also of efficacy in solid tumors. Whilst work is currently at the pre-clinical stage, drawing on a range of cancer models, we are finalizing formulation and further tests of our lead molecule; and anticipate human cancer studies to be ready for 2014.
