Hello, my name is Harshit Sachdev. I am currently pursuing Materials Science and Engineering at IIT Kanpur. I come from a middle-class background and was born in Bikaner, Rajasthan. However, due to my father's government job as the branch manager in Bank of Baroda, I had the privilege of experiencing life in seven different places before joining IIT.My educational journey has always been marked by a passion for academics and co-curricular activities. I consistently performed well in school, earning the position of head boy during my 10th grade. In class 11th, I joined Allen Career Institute and successfully cracked the Joint Entrance Examination on my first attempt, leading me to my current academic path at IIT Kanpur.Despite initial challenges, I have adapted well to my environment at IIT and received recognition for academic excellence, securing the second rank in my department. During my last summer, I am inncolved into a innovative research project focused on PLC band analysis and material strength, adding a practical dimension to my academic pursuits.Beyond academics, I actively contribute to campus life and currently lead the Hindi Sahitya Sabha and played a key role in organizing the cultural fest Anataragni with my full commitment. These experiences have not only shaped my leadership and organizational skills but have also allowed me to balance academic and extracurricular responsibilities effectively.
