Technical direction and control of Kwale County Water Supply Development Master Plan under the Kenya Water Security and Climate Resilience Project, in Kenya. Kwale County is located in the south-east part of Kenya at the Indian Ocean and bordering Tanzania. It has a total area of 8,270 sq. km and a total population of 649,951 (census 2009). About 95% of the county area is rural and about 80% of the county population live in rural areas.The scope of services is:(a) Surface and ground water resources assessment including streamflow monitoring, water buffering studies, surface geophysical surveys, and exploratory borehole drilling and testing (b) Water supply and demand assessment, and water balance studies(c) Socio-economic studies(d) Institutional assessment(e) Investment and strategic plan (the master plan)(f) Preliminary engineering designs and ESIA for priority projects(g) Capacity building/trainingThe technical team consists of 16 experts in the fields of water supply planning, surface water hydrology, groundwater hydrology, water and irrigation engineering, topography, GIS, environment, finance and economics, institutions and socio-economics.

Technical direction and control of Integrated Urban Water Management (IUWM) for Nairobi Metropolitan Region (NMR) in Kenya covering five counties: Nairobi, Kiambu, Kajiado, Machakos and Murang'a with a total area is 32,715.5 sq. km and a total population of 7,490,128 (census 2009).The project objectives are:(a) Develop a comprehensive strategy on integrated urban water management for the NMR, addressing technical aspects as well as institutional arrangements.(b) Prepare demonstrative projects to show the effectiveness of IUWM measures in the NMR.(c) Conduct consultations under the leadership of the client on IUWM in the NMR.The technical team consisted of 10 experts in the fields of regional planning, engineering, environment, institutions and socio-economics.

Kyrgyzstan, Community-Based Infrastructure Sector Services Project.Water Supply, sanitation and health education for low-income population of about 730 villages and seven urban centres in four out of seven provinces of the republic. The project involved community participation and was based on partial cost recovery. Prepared Terms of Reference for professional engineering services for municipal culverts and bridges inventory, deck and structural survey, and culvert replacement; and for detailed design of stormwater drainage within the Town.
