Naturally, commodities and foodstuff came to the fore, since millions of people suffer from itching skin or scalp, rash or allergic reactions after eating, cleaning or washing their hair. After reading numerous lists of ingredients on a myriad of household goods I decided to develop high quality, no-remorse, allergen-free haircare products myself. Together with my wife Christine I founded CuraCap (for latin "cura capilli" = cure for hair). CuraCap develops, produces, and sells our unique haircare products B2C and B2B. Our main markets are the German-speaking countries Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿:My ambition in science is to understand on a molecular level the reasons why a compound is allergic or toxic.I have been a scientist for 20+ years and co-authored more than 30 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals, among them high profile publications such as Nature and PNAS (Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences USA). This work led to a Honorary Associate Professorship at the University of Queensland in Australia.My research is method-driven allowing me to apply my toolkit to a wide range of topics. Ever since I started out my scientific journey I also enjoyed sharing my knowledge, gradually focusing more on teaching than on research. 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:I trained as a chemist in Germany, the US, and Switzerland receiving my Ph.D. from the University of Stuttgart (Germany). I am holding M.Sc. degrees from the Universities of Stuttgart (Germany) and Cincinnati (OH, USA). Additionally, I graduated from the University of Zurich (Switzerland) with a Master's degree in teaching.
