About Haley Carter
I am a biologist, doing research in ecology, evolution, and genomics to understand how plant chemistry shapes interactions between plants and other organisms and their evolution. I am currently working towards a PhD from Northwestern University and the Chicago Botanic Garden focusing on terpene synthase evolution in evening primroses. I've learned a variety of data science and bioinformatics skills to support my own research and continue to leverage this expertise by working as a Data Science Consultant for Northwestern University's Research Computing Services, and as a TA in data-driven courses.
