As the Director of STEM Innovation and Education, I am responsible for the development, delivery, implementation, and monitoring of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) curriculum, initiatives, and educational opportunities. I provide direction and leadership for the overall administration and coordination of STEM programs, Education Technology and Information Technology and Infrastructure.- Provide direction and leadership for the overall administration and coordination of STEM programs in support of effective instructional practices, communication and operation efficiency.- Organize and promote interdisciplinary STEM activities that are aligned with content-area standards and with the goals of our learning community.- Provide direction and leadership in the development of a comprehensive STEM curriculum for K-8.- Oversee the development and enhancement of the STEM curriculum for instructional programs and collaborate with educators in the development and maintenance of the STEM curriculum.- Assist administrators and teachers in the development of STEM curriculum aligned with career pathways that ensure integration of academic and career education with 21st century skills.- Teach STEM related classes, electives and after school clubs to K-8 students.- Provide STEM enrichment opportunities for K-8 students including open lab hours and Maker Expo events.- Lead a process for the evaluation, selection, and acquisition of instructional materials, supplies, and equipment to support school technology and network systems.- Assist in the development of a proposed annual budget relating to the STEM curriculum development and technology needs for the school.- Organize, develop, coordinate and provide in-service programs for administrators and faculty related to Education Technology best practices and strategies for both in-person and virtual instruction.
