I am a public policy researcher who writes papers and creates digital content in the areas of citizen engagement, digital government and complexity thinking. My latest published work are two chapters on how the Singapore Public Service has applied complexity thinking to public policy in "Navigating a Complex World: A Simple Guide for Public Officers" (Civil Service College, 2019). In the classroom, I facilitate learning through games - LEGO to teach the sensemaking Cynefin framework developed by Professor David Snowden and his colleagues, and Nexus!, a social complexity boardgame, to illustrate the real-life challenges of collaboration and taking a long-term view.In 2015, I graduated from the Singapore Management University with a Masters in Tri-Sector Collaboration. I am an advocate that governments, companies, civil society and citizens need to work together to solve pressing problems in the 21st century. I used the knowledge and networks from my Masters to convene a cross-sectoral workshop on how to improve societal resilience through partnerships. I also brokered a collaboration between Civil Service College and the National Environmental Agency to reduce food wastage in College.
