As a frequent online shopper, I love the ideas and inventions of online shopping and marketplaces. Even since my first online shopping on ebay.com about 14 years ago, I have been obsessed with the idea of saving money while shopping online and avoiding driving to the mall during the holiday season. Ecommerce is a new way of living that I am passionately engaged in my everyday life. I believe our way of life will keep changing and improving with the fast growth of E-commerce today.For my first professional contract, I was given the opportunity to join the company’s web development team to convert the company’s current product catalog into online shopping. My second contract involved creating storefront on popular amazon.com’s merchant web sites. This contract quickly turned into a full-time offer and I have been happily expanding my role as an eCommerce associate ever since. Today, I am a full-time eCommerce manager at amarobagstore.com. Most recently, I have been implementing more online shopping channels for customers around the world to shop and purchase goods through our web site and online storefront.As will more online market channels are created and provided to the world, I will continue learning the ways of doing business online. Most recently I have been working on a new storefront to sell merchandise on the Shopify market platform. I was able to get a better understanding of all the necessary steps from manufacturing planning, import and export, duty, and freight. Most fun part is the communication between merchants and customer. I find a beautiful crossover between myself and my customer. Both pursuits challenge so many aspects of the intellect: product sourcing, payment transaction, shipping handling. This is what keeps me up at night, a never-ending thirst to understand, powerful things, and share them with the world.
