I enjoy solving difficult problems and upsetting traditional ways of doing things when necessary to do what seems impossible. I follow modern traditional methods for excellence in team organization emphasizing open communication with singular sources of truth for collaboration: written and visual product art, clear people-focused metric calculation, dogfooding, and a shared voice for product marketing, content strategy, and design discussion.I like computing because we are able to imagine, build, learn, and improve faster than any other technologies today. We are 1% finished.

Founding PM for the 0->1 stage of the Workplace Platform (Integrations) team within Workplace. During my time we shipped a series of marquee integrations with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Box, Dropbox, Quip, and Salesforce. We also shipped the initial version of what is now the Workplace developer platform which allows any approved enterprise developer to integrate their tool with Workplace via bots & authenticated content. Engagement with integrations proved to be one of the most valuable behaviors upstream of retention and this team has received a green-light to continue growth as part of Facebook's overall Workplace strategy.
Completed three 6mo rotations as part of the RPM program, in each rotation I shipped...R1: Pages: Took a nascent test for call-to-action buttons and shipped both the redesigned page UI (large full-bleed blue button under page photo) and admin UI (the ability to configure button type & destination) to 100% of Pages.R2: Maps: 0->1 project taking the concept of AI generated maps from concept to reality. By the end of the 6mo Facebook's first AI generated edit was live in OpenStreetMap. The project received a green light within Facebook and is now called: https://mapwith.ai.R3: Profile: Shipped an improved profile editing flow on iOS and Android focused on the Profile introduction card, completed long-term research & design concepts for Profile Understanding & Control, and removed over 50 annoying notification checkup flows which previously asked for information like hometown, etc.

Commerce was a (now defunct) tool for e-commerce stores that automatically created interactive ads and optimized ad spend across segments, channels, and products. During my time we Rebuilt the frontend from scratch according to user feedback. As the PM on a team of around 10, I was deep in the details, to the point of writing code as needed when there was a crunch.

As a PM on the Bing UX Data team, I delivered data insights for Bing media, sports, and fans projects. My work led to the creation of a team focused on detailed information cards for highly engaged global events (like the World Cup). Similarly, my work on fans culminated in a strategic framework for evaluating new designs in a way that weighted the interactions of highly engaged users (fans) more highly than occasional users of Bing.

This was a long-term concept project for a red/blue exercise. I wrote C++ code and designed the ADC interface for a passive radar system. I delivered a 100x speedup on a cross-correlation algorithm which took a matlap concept running on historical data into a speed range that could be computed in real-time based on the current volume of sensor input. My ADC interface was the custom cabling and control software that allowed updates to the ADC settings to be delivered remotely without requiring physical access to the racks.
