I have a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a minor in English from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. As an Account Coordinator for an advertising/marketing agency I utilize vital communication skills including researching, writing, proofreading, and team-coordination. I serve as liaison between clients and various media outlets. Responsibilities range from placing ads online and in print to structuring comprehensive marketing campaigns. Multi-tasking is critical as these tasks require a great deal of time-sensitive, market research while incorporating advances in the industry, all while paying close attention to detail. This job has provided the opportunity to fashion and implement creative marketing and promotional materials, coordinate events, all while preserving varying budgets. Prior to my current position I worked as an administrative assistant for Arden Engineering and Constructors, LLC while attending college. In this position I developed organizational skills critical to meeting multiple project managers’ and office staff needs. This job experience also greatly improved my computer aptitude and exposure to various operating platforms. I served as an assistant to a variety of project managers, the CAD department, and the President which has challenged me to work both independently and with a team efficiently. Additionally, I interned for an online and print publication where I was able to write and serve as both a marketing assistant and content editor (both print and web-based), which exposed me to a world of web applications and assorted styles of writing. I am motivated, enthusiastic, detail-oriented, passionate, and above all, uphold a sense of humor. I enjoy working with people, being creative and resourceful, and thinking outside-of-the-box. I have developed an appreciation and passion for the communications field and I am actively pursuing a career that is long term and allows the opportunity to grow with the company.
