At the department of neurology of the LUMC I did research on machine learning models for migraine attack prediction based on our self-developed and clinically validated headache eDiary data. In addition, I worked on innovative methods for at-home monitoring of stroke patients using our Stroke Box eHealth tool.This was a close collaboration project between the Department of Neurology of the LUMC and the Explanatory Data Analysis group of Leiden Institute of Advanced Computer Science.

At the DFCI I did research for my master thesis in the field of computational biology for pediatric oncology.Through combination of multiple large biological datasets I leverage the unique genomic properties of cancer to define a group of potential therapeutic genetic targets in cancer. My thesis was awarded with a 8,5/10 and will probably follow up with a scientific publication.

As student ambassador for the bachelor in bioinformatics I was responsible for all te promotional activities related to this programme. This included making and giving presentations at the open- and in house days, and organising visits by high school students.
