In July/ August 2016, I travelled to Uganda as Team Leader for Team Uganda to volunteer for a small charity called S.A.L.V.E. International. S.A.L.V.E. works with children living on the street in Jinja, Uganda to help them return to a safe, loving family home and re-enter education. I supported a team of 14 students from the University of Manchester in their pre-departure phase, in-country and upon return to the UK.
