Dec 2012 - Aug 2014

R&D Engineer

Istanbul, Turkey

I worked as an expert on structural stress analyses and manufacturing simulations of critical structural parts for various household appliances within the company. I continuously worked in collaboration with product design departments to help verify design solutions and with manufacturing teams (Plastics Technology Team and Mold Design Department) across the company to verify and optimize the manufacturability of plastics and sheet metal part designs. I supported design and manufacturing teams by performing required analyses and timely providing each of them with results in a standard report format in which explained all details of the analysis. I gained experience in collaborative team work by supporting many different NPI projects and also increased my skills on simulation codes MSC Marc, Hyperworks Suit (mostly used Hypermesh, Hyperform, Optistruct, Radioss and MotionSolve), Autodesk Moldflow, and MSC ADAMS as well as IDEAS and Unigraphics Software.Basic skills that I developed on simulation softwares during this position are as follows,- Developed over 6 years of expertise on nonlinear static or dynamic analysis on MSC Marc by building and running many assembly level stress models - Improved Hypermesh skills over 6 years and generated most of the mesh models using Hypermesh- Developed over 6 years of expertise on Hyperform sheet metal forming simulation code and worked closely with mold design department to optimize part and model designs- Developed over 4 years of Moldflow plastics molding simulation software skill by working closely with product development teams and plastics manufacturing technology teams to support part and mold designs- Attended 3 days of Radioss Explicit Solver training in Stuttgart, Germany in 2010 and following the training I applied and developed this knowledge on projects where solution required dynamic modeling such as drop test simulation of a tablet computer and nonlinear dynamic simulation of a washing machine
