Had weekly communications to discuss WIPs, new orders, and new stock levels. • Helped reduce excess transmission inventory at the Detroit Diesel Remanufacturing Facility by $400,000 through increased sales, physical counts, and sales to other facilities. • Created a macro in Excel through VBA to automate the process of turning data into information. Gathered data from SAP, exported out to excel, created a macro to organize the data, created a pivot table, and created a macro to print multiple copies. Reduced labor time from 45 minutes to 5 minutes. • Assisted in engine scheduling and learned about production processes, restrictions, and individual needs for different areas of the assembly line. Ex: each engine had a build book to go along with it and occasionally needed a special label. Depending on how large or where the label was placed, it would interfere with different people who dealt with the books. After a quick discussion, there was a standardized process for placing the label. • Updated, printed, and delivered daily reports to supervisors and co-workers. Also created macros that allowed automated printing of multiple pages. • Input orders for MBT, MBE 900s, and MBE 4000s. • Monitored the location and the transit time of the Mercedes Benz Transmissions, Mercedes MBE 900s, and Mercedes MBE 4000s.
