I am Hubert, a Congolese refugee living in the Kakuma refugee camp after fleeing the DRC in 2016 due to severe political conflict and war. As a refugee living in the Kakuma refugee camp for over 9 years, I have witnessed firsthand the immense challenges that refugees face in accessing education, employment, and a sense of dignity. My journey and the shared struggles of my community inspired me to become an advocate for change, determined to break down the barriers that hold refugees back..I am passionate about addressing the lack of access to quality education and digital skills in the Kakuma refugee camp. My vision is to create a technological learning center to provide access to digital skills, livelihood education, primary and higher education including computer training and internet access, empowering refugees, especially youth and women, with essential digital literacy. This initiative aims to open doors to education and employment opportunities and connect refugees to the global community.Motivated by this, I now focus on training them on computer literacy, and digital skills and connecting refugees with international remote job opportunities, helping them overcome challenges and build sustainable, empowered futures..With over 11 years of experience as an IT Specialist and Project Manager, my interest in technology, project management and e-commerce began at age 16, before I left my home country.
