During the summer of 2022, I worked as a Design Engineer intern for Ryan’s Fire Protection Inc. I was able to utilize my CAD skills to design and estimate sprinkler layouts for residential, commercial, warehouses, etc. I used the 2016 edition of NFPA 13 to help with the design process of the layouts. I performed calculations on remote areas of the design layouts to find the most demanding sprinkler head in the systems and ensured that the design layout is a successful system. I created a new company template for pump details that will be showcased to future clients and customers. Stock listing was another skill I obtained during my internship at Ryan’s Fire Protection Inc. I had the ability to mark up, read prints/drawings, managing loose materials and delivering them to the correct place/person in a timely fashion.
