Enabled the rollout of retail gift card distribution in time for Christmas by developing a Java module to communicate with a gift card redemption system and integrated the module into a Rails application using the Ruby Java Bridge. We sold over 200 retail gift cards. Designed and implemented a mining valuation website, calculating NPV (including using a Monte Carlo method to estimate NPV), IRR, and other key financial metrics of mines.

Implemented a comprehensive Cucumber and RSpec test suite providing over 80% code coverage as measured by RCov for a Rails application and migrated the application from Rails 2.3 to 3.2. Developed an automated TestStand testing framework for running Python nose tests on Windows XP, Windows 7, Mac OS X, and Linux machines and VMWare images. Worked on a Python SimpleHTTPServer-based distributed computing framework for compiling across a variety of machines and platforms. Implemented support for generating C# .csproj project files for a multi-platform build system.
